Isaac James

Since arriving on the world music scene, Isaac James has made an explosive impact signing to Sony Music for a 5-album deal on the strength of just one single "Swingers Club". Isaac (24) is emerging as a fresh force in both radio and club play on a global level.

A former drummer in the Australian rock band 'Sponky', Isaac enjoyed national recognition and an album release at the tender age of 16. Isaac, a then young Aussie rock pig was lured into the dance/pop genre where his drumsticks were quickly replaced by mouse clicks and fancy technology. After spending several years writing instrumental tracks, maturity shined and Isaac repositioned himself as a commendable pop songwriter with electronic influences.

Hooked, in '99 he had his first release in Asia under the name of Uke Boy. Over the following years Isaac focused his production skills on several Australian acts (Capital Y/Pty LTD) while remixing the likes of 'Selwyn and Delta'.

His first major label single, "Swingers Club", immediately broke into the Australian single charts in 2002, and was soon followed by the infectious "Baby Likes It"(2003). "Baby Likes It" has now spread its love through 18 countries reaching an amazing #4 in the Music Week Club charts as well as receiving quality support from British radio. (Capital/Kiss/Galaxy)

Isaac's startling repertoire demonstrates considerable depth and maturity that makes him impossible to pigeonhole. Some tracks seem more at home on mainstream radio, some in a jazz club, and others you can imagine at 10,000 watts at a dance-party. It's the cheeky and irresistible vibe of his tracks that tie it all together, with a sense of melody that's definitely catching.

Steven Jaymes

Steven Jaymes is a singer songwriter in the classic mold, unwaveringly musical in style with a dark velvety soulful voice that sounds like it has been well tested and through the fire of experience.

Born the son of a builder and shearer who played drums in the family band Steven grew up in some of the more remote areas of New Zealand now more commonly known as middle earth.

His Fascination with travel and a strong desire to understand what makes people think and act the way they do has seen Steven as a constant traveler and performer for the past 20 years. He has immersed himself in countries far and wide, from the back roads of Mexico and Cuba to the backstreets of Kyoto and Manhattan.

He has performed in Spain, Japan, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, United States, Ireland, England, Denmark, Russia, New Zealand, Sweden, Cuba and Australia and now lives between New York and Melbourne.

He has played over 5000 professional gigs yet still admits to getting a little nervous when dragged up to play for family and friends. He says this stems from the Irish humility that you are never good enough and this is what keeps him striving for continual improvement.

While living in New York Stevens 3rd album "Hemingway's Cats" was completed & Steven's love for that city comes through with such tracks as Manhattan, and the title track Hemingway's cats written on a road trip between New York and Key West.

The new Album is "Black 17" and is another side of the singer songwriter with the bluesy southern roots coming through. Steven seems to have a knack of collecting and combining amazing musicians from far flung places to create moments of magic.

He has been compared to Jackson Browne, Ben Folds, Leon Russell, Van Morrison and Joe Jackson. Some call it the best jazzy roots you will ever hear, others call him a folk rocker, and even a country rocker But I think the more apt and "new" term is singer songwriter.

There are tales on everyday life, from Christchurch to Belgium. There is humor romance and bawdiness, stories of love and tragedy, and not a sign of a rapper in here anywhere.

I think Michael Smith from the Drum Media in Sydney summed it up best when he wrote, "He's just doing his thing without an ounce of pretension and there is something refreshing about that."

Sally Hollingdale

Singin' in the shower, turnin' on the power - what else can a musical maestro-spunk do? Sally started her career with the obligatory bed-room mosh-pit of Wild Thing at the age of eleven. Not content to be just another kid in the kitchen, Sally made the move from ra-ra skirts to docs and cut-offs and joined local Brisbane outfit Mantra at the age of 17 as a rhythm guitarist.

Always flirting with the idea of fronting her own group, Sally eventually collaborated with the guitarist from Mantra to form Florid Poppyhaze .The call of the lead mic was too strong for Sally to resist, and shortly after forming Florid, she split from Mantra to concentrate on driving her career very firmly in the direction she intended heading straight for number one [with a bullet].

Winning awards in various Queensland rock competitions became a habit : including the Queensland Rock Awards, for 'Best Original Song', and the Brisbane battle of the bands. Sally gained a name for herself in the local music community, and was eventually signed to a local independent label as Bobohemia ; a solo act.

2 years later Sally was signed to a major label and released the single "Swingers Club" which was the start of a powerful collaboration with Isaac James. Their influences may be different, but the two mix with a chemistry that's irresistible. Now being heard in 15 countries Sally's vocals can best be described as both sweet and sultry, and it's this coupled with Isaac's crazy baselines and driving drumbeats that has created the Hit "Baby likes it"! Keep an ear out for "When will I see you again" the latest collaboration with Isaac James.
